askON is growing!
How can your library take part?

Welcome to our participating library kit. The information in this kit is intended to help interested libraries and their management understand how askON functions and answer some of your key questions surrounding:

  • library commitment
  • technical requirements
  • support resources and training tools
  • service quality

Knowledge Ontario and askON plan to add new partner libraries for September 2010. Information sessions for interested libraries will begin late winter/early spring 2010. An application process will begin in April/May. The final number of partner libraries we will be able to add will depend on available resources. We expect, at minimum, to add 10-12 new contributing public partner libraries and possibly as many as 20 small libraries as part of the district model. At the same time we hope to welcome the remaining 7 college libraries and 2-3 more university libraries. We will continue to add libraries of all sizes and strive to maintain a balance of participation around the province. Please see the FAQs section for more information on the partnership and our criteria for selecting new libraries.
